Why a real card game?
You can already play MhyTom with standard playing cards, and many tables do. But three problems come back every night:
- You have to mix several decks. A 54-card deck only has 4 Aces, 4 Kings and 4 Queens. With 4 players you already need 6 of each; with 10 players, 15 of each. You spend a while sorting before you can play.
- The backs are not always identical. When the decks come from different brands, an observant player can tell where a card comes from. For a bluffing game, that is a problem.
- The special cards do not exist. You replace the Devil card with an Ace, the Murder cards with Aces and the Chaos cards with Jokers. It works, but you have to remember it in the middle of a game.
The MhyTom deck fixes all three: enough cards for the whole table, a single back, and real special cards you recognise at a glance once they are flipped.
How many cards for each mode?
Here is what you need today with standard playing cards. The deck is designed around these quantities.
| Mode | With 4 players | With 10 players |
|---|---|---|
| Phoenix | 6 Aces, 6 Kings, 6 Queens, 2 Jokers | 15 Aces, 15 Kings, 15 Queens, 5 Jokers |
| Devil | Same as Phoenix, plus 1 Devil card | Same as Phoenix, plus 1 Devil card |
| Chaos | 5 Kings, 5 Queens, 1 Chaos, 1 Murder | 12 Kings, 12 Queens, 3 Chaos, 3 Murder |
| Last Call | Same as Phoenix | Same as Phoenix |
The details for each number of players are in the rules of Phoenix, Devil, Chaos and Last Call. To play tonight, the guide what you need to play tells you how many 54-card decks to plan.
The cards and the app go together
The card game does not replace the app, it completes it. The cards are on the table; the phone draws the table card, spins the virtual cylinder, counts each player's shots and announces the winner. The app will stay free, with or without the card game.

How the project will be funded
We are preparing a crowdfunding campaign: everyone will be able to pre-order the game, and printing will start once the goal is reached. The longer the “Notify me” list, the better the chances of this launch.
Want to help right now? Every donation, even a small one, funds the first steps (print proofs, manufacturing).
Frequently asked questions
When will the MhyTom card game be released?
There is no date yet. The game will be launched through crowdfunding: people on the list will be the first to know.
How much will the game cost?
The price will be announced when the crowdfunding launches.
Will the app stay free?
Yes. The mhytom.be app is free, with no sign-up and no ads, and it will stay that way. The card game is a bonus, not a requirement.
Will the deck work for every mode?
That is the goal: a single deck for Phoenix, Devil, Chaos and Last Call. The exact contents will be confirmed when the crowdfunding launches.
Can you already play without the MhyTom deck?
Yes. Standard playing cards (Aces, Kings, Queens and Jokers) are enough, with the mhytom.be app for the table card and the virtual Russian roulette.
In the meantime, you can already play with standard playing cards and the app.
